Product Details

The estate is located on the northern slopes of Saint-Émilion with a terroir of ferruginous sand over a subsoil of clay. This blend of soil contributes to wines that are generally known for their rich fruit, smooth texture, and approachability.

Chateau Vieille Tour La Rose is a family owned property situated in the heart of the Saint-Emilion appellation. It produces solid wines which are suitable for maturing. Merlot 80% Cabernet Franc 15% Cabernet Sauvignon 5%

The 2018 vintage in Saint-Émilion was marked by a challenging, rainy spring followed by a long, extremely hot, and dry summer. The resulting wines are often powerful, dense, and concentrated, yet many successfully maintained freshness.

The 2019 vintage is frequently praised as an exceptionally balanced and "classic" vintage for Bordeaux, often exhibiting more energy and freshness than the intense 2018s. The growing season was more serene, leading to harmonious ripening.

Tasting note: Palate: A round mouthfeel with a full-bodied but smooth attack. Aromas of fresh fruit are supported by promising tannins and notes of oak and spice leading to an aromatic, long finish. Reflects elegance and classic Saint-Émilion character.
