The 2021 Turkey Flat Butchers Block Red is a quintessential "GSM" (Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro) blend from one of the Barossa Valley’s most historic producers. Named in honor of the Turkey Flat cellar door, which served as a butcher shop in the late 1840s, this wine is designed to be approachable, food-friendly, and expressive of the region's diverse terroir.

Blend: Predominantly Grenache (56%) , followed by Shiraz (38%) and Mataro (6%) .

Appearance A youthful, deep garnet-purple with vibrant crimson hues at the rim.

Aroma The nose is aromatic and layered. Expect a "berry pie" profile with intense notes of black pepper , aniseed , and crushed rose petals . There are deeper layers of warm blackberry, blueberry, and a touch of dusty loam or earthiness.

A medium-to-full-bodied palate that balances richness with surprising acidity. Flavours: Bright red and black fruits (plum, cherry, and cassis) dominate the core. Texture: The Shiraz provides a generous mouthfeel, while the Mataro (Mourvèdre) adds a savory, structural "backbone." Finish: It features fine-grained, sandy tannins and a long, harmonious finish with flashes of char and smoked meats.
